ABSTRACT: To meet these requirements and reduce the product preparation time, simulation tools are more and more often used in production preparation. Presented: simulation procedure, methods of assessment and selection of simulation packages and aggregation of work-stands into black-boxes for the needs of simulation models. Aggregation of work-stands, defining representatives of components and groups of components, as well as approximation to other kinds of structural and operational elements present in the simulation model, allow for reduction of the model creation time by internal, substitutive modelling of the manufacturing process details with no significant influence on the system under research.
