ABSTRACT:The paper is oriented to classification of nested simulation, i.e. to simulation of systems containing simulating elements. The criteria are reflectivity, size and depth of nesting. They are explained, supported by references to existing implementations and used for the classification. An analysis of the combinations of the criteria leads to an idea that there are so many sorts of the nesting simulation models that nowadays – at the start of nesting simulation use – their general and detailed classification is far from being transparent. Therefore the names are given only to the sorts that seem to be near to implementation and application in the near future.
