ABSTRACT:
The paper proposes the experimental validation of a model for simulating coordinated operations for oil spill containment; the proposed model take care of reproducing both effect of equipment and infrastructures as well as the operations and the oil spill phenomena by applying advanced modeling techniques integrated with AI (Artificial Intelligence); the model is currently in use in order to define requirements and procedures for oil spill containment systems.
