Luciano Dato
is a Naval Engineer from Genoa University with experience working on M&S; he was attending ICAMES 2012 as Speaker in
Bogazici University Istanbul and obtained the Award for 2nd Runner among Engineering Projects in an International Competition involving Universities from all around the world.
He was active part on Iphitos Space Guard Project from Simulation Team working on a Space Protection System based on Interceptors against Asteroids and Debris.
He completed an Internship in NATO STO CMRE within Research Visiting Programme working on Interoperable Simulation using HLA Evolved for Space Protection and Interceptor Simulation.
He was actively involved in
Spring Sim 2013 San Diego (remotely connected from Italy with Interoperable Simulation) and in
ITEC2013 Rome (Presenter and Speaker of the Real Time Distributed Simulation running within
ITEC Rome,
NASA Johnson Space Center
and
MIT Boston)
in relation to the Smackdown 2013 initiative led by
NASA.
He is carrying out researches on using Interoperable Simulation for addressing Maritime Theater Missile Defense and Ballistic Missile Defense.
