ABSTRACT:Simulation based scheduling approach for a batch anodising plant is considered in the paper. It is aimed to evaluate implementation of different sequencing rules in order to improve the processes at the anodising plant. Low-level simulation model of the anodising process is developed that simulates the individual anodising tanks by modelling colour changeovers and set-up operations times. Special attention is given to visualisation of the simulation model, generation a list of the production orders to be processed in a week, construction of sequencing rules for incoming orders and their comparison based on results of simulation experiments. Test case is developed to prove an approach proposed in the paper and to provide its better understanding
