Abstract
Hybrid models, with both continuous and discrete
behaviors, exhibit both discrete state and continuous state
dynamics highly coupled . This papers present a hybrid
model that was developed to predict the future
productivity of a continuous pickling line. The discrete
model was built using the Petri Nets formalism . The
specification of the model using Petri Nets has proven to
be very useful in all the simulation project life cycle.
