ABSTRACT: Relational management skills have seldom been a top priority for engineers working in simulation and related technologies. As horizons expand to an international constituency – they rise in prominence if not apparent proficiency.
Relationship management can be defined as the “knowledge, capabilities and practices associated with the assessment, development and maintenance of various stakeholder relationships…with the objective ensuring. the highest levels of effectiveness and satisfaction possible.” Skill in building and maintaining alliances and a strong customer orientation can address members of industry, government, professional organizations and academia both within ones own organization and among partners, suppliers and customers. [1] Such awareness, practice and mastery require continuous attention.
